Decent pergola, shipping could improve

I got the Cedar Pergola and overall I'm happy with it. The wood quality is good, and it looks really nice assembled in the yard. Assembly took longer than I expected, but the instructions were clear enough. My only real gripe was the shipping time; it took almost two weeks to get here which felt a bit long. Also, one small piece of hardware was missing, but customer service sent it out quickly after I called. It's a solid product, just be ready for a bit of a wait on delivery.

Great value on the gazebo

This was my first time buying from Yardistry. I really wanted a gazebo and was looking for the best deal. I managed to catch the Wood Gazebo with Bar and Counter during a spring garden event sale, which saved me a good chunk of money. The price was significantly better than other brands I looked at. It felt like a solid investment for the price, definitely worth it.

Always happy with Yardistry

I've bought a few things from Yardistry over the years, starting with a Cedar Gazebo and then a couple of Adirondack Chairs. This time I picked up a Planter Box. They're always consistent, good quality cedar, and the instructions are clear. The delivery was as expected, no surprises. It's why I keep coming back for more outdoor stuff, I know what I'm getting.

Good gate, easy setup

I ordered the Baycrest Gate with Faux Glass for our backyard. It came pretty quick, took about 5 days to reach us. Putting it together was straightforward, didn't have any issues there. Looks good with our fence.

Considering this gate, but also looking at Backyard Discovery. Any thoughts on how Yardistry stacks up against them, especially for durability?

K Kevin 1 month ago
Yardistry uses good quality cedar and their aluminum roofs are solid. I've heard Backyard Discovery can be good too, but Yardistry definitely feels sturdier for the price point, especially the bigger structures.

I've had both! Yardistry definitely feels more 'premium' to me. The wood quality and overall construction just seemed a bit better than the Backyard Discovery stuff I looked at.

Has anyone had to return something big from Yardistry? What was the process like? Wondering if it's a huge hassle.

R Rachel V. 3 weeks ago
Yeah, I had to return a part once. It wasn't too bad, just make sure you keep all the packaging. They usually have a pretty clear return policy on their site.

Returns were easy for me, did it last month. Just follow their instructions and it should be fine. Shipping it back was the biggest thing, but that's with any large item.

Thinking about getting one of these gates, but I'm worried about the 'faux glass' part. Is it like, super obviously plastic? Or does it look decent?

R Rachel C. 1 month ago
Nah, it's not real glass, it's a type of acrylic. From what I saw on their site, they call it 'durable polycarbonate.' It looks pretty clear, not like cheap plastic at all.

Mine doesn't look bad. You'd have to be really close to tell it's not glass. It's probably better anyway, less chance of it shattering.

Hey, does Yardistry ever do promo codes directly on their site? I'm looking at a gazebo but wanna wait for a good deal.

J James Q. 1 month ago
i think they don't really do direct coupon codes. usually their best deals are through big retailers like costco or home depot during sales events.

Yeah, don't hold your breath for a coupon code. They do big sales at places like Lowe's sometimes, especially around holidays like Black Friday or spring. That's where I got my pavilion much cheaper.

Planning to order one of these gates for my backyard. I'm in Miami, FL. Any idea how long shipping usually takes to get down here?

R Ryan T. 1 month ago
Shipping times can vary a lot, but usually, big items like this take 1-2 weeks. You should check the product page or contact their customer service for a more accurate estimate to Florida.

Mine took about 10 days to get to Houston. Miami might be similar, give or take a few days.

Is the cedar on these gates pre-stained or anything? Or do I have to do all that myself once it arrives?

A Alex Nguyen 1 month ago
Good question! Their cedar is typically pre-stained with a water-based stain. So, it's ready to go once you assemble it.

Mine came pre-stained. It was a nice touch, saved me a bunch of work right out of the box.
